So, yea, this isn’t really a recipe. It’s more of an ode to the beauty of simplicity.
Nothing compares to the elegance of this classic, and it’s fabulous year-round.
I find that gently melting the finest vegan chocolate creates a perfect Chocolate Covered Strawberry every single time. My favorite chocolate for these is the semisweet baking bar made by Scharffen Berger.
If you can’t find that brand near you, just use your favorite vegan gourmet chocolate bar.
CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES
1 quart large fresh strawberries
5 ounces vegan dark chocolate (fine quality)
Wash strawberries, and dry gently (but really well) on paper towels.
Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave. Stir until very smooth.
Dip each strawberry, one at a time, into the chocolate, turning evenly to coat well. Carefully place chocolate-dipped strawberries on parchment paper.
Allow to set up either at room temperature, or in the refrigerator for a few minutes, and enjoy!
