Oven-Baked Pears

This simple baked fruit dessert is like a mini pear crisp, and enticingly delicious on a cold winter’s night. With warm, fragrant spices, and just a touch of oats, it’s so easy, and so good.

OVEN-BAKED PEARS

3 fresh pears
generous sprinkle of cinnamon (or apple pie spice)
homemade granola
fresh raspberries (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Wash pears. Slice each pear in half. Remove all of the cores. (A melon baller or a teaspoon works well for this.) Place pear halves in a shallow baking dish.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until just about fork tender. Remove from oven. Into the center of each pear half, add a spoonful or two of granola, and dot (if desired) with a fresh raspberry. Serve warm.
